Error running simtrace-utils
Added by r00tb3 over 4 years ago.
Updated about 4 years ago.
Description
Hey all, I just installed the simtrace-firmware and simtrace-utils following these instructions https://osmocom.org/projects/cellular-infrastructure/wiki/Latest_Builds#How-to-use-the-osmocomlatest-builds but when I run the simtrace-list or simtrace-sniff commands I get the following error:
$ sudo simtrace2-list
simtrace2-list: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libosmo-simtrace2.so.0: undefined symbol: osim_uicc_sim_cic_profile
$ sudo simtrace2-sniff
simtrace2-sniff: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libosmo-simtrace2.so.0: undefined symbol: osim_uicc_sim_cic_profile
Am I missing some libraries or the simtrace binaries are corrupt?
Pls, suggest a solution.
Regards.
this is rather strange indeed. It may be related that we just released new "latest" packages for all of the libraries right around the time you downloaded/installed those packages.
If you have the time, please re-test with the packages from today (maybe uninstall any old beforehand, to make sure, or start in a clean container).
I will put this on my todo list, but unfortuantely it is rather long :/

I reinstalled the simtrace utility and it worked perfectly.
