Bug #3527
closedWhen EFR is used Speech Version and Speech Codec seem to mismatch in ASSIGMNET COMPLETE msg

Description
The specification demands that Speech Codec (choosen) and Speech Version (choosen) are consistent. With osmo-bsc this seems not to be the case when EFR is used. It still shows "GSM speech full rate version 1" in the Speech Version field. This looks odd and needs to be checked back. There should be something like "GSM speech full rate version 2" or so but not 1.
Attached one finds a sample packet.

Apparently this is just a bug in wireshark. I traced it down through the source. We are sending 0x11 in the Speech Version field, which is for GSM EFR. See also 3GPP TS 48.008, section 3.2.2.11.
