Bug #5098

exported 'ov_ftdi.DWG' appears to be a DXF file
Added by mschramm about 3 years ago.
Updated about 3 years ago.
Description
The exported PCB as 'ov_ftdi.DWG' actually appears to be a DXF file - which is even better than DWG! ;)
Let's please stay with DXF and simply do a
git mv ov_ftdi.DWG ov_ftdi.DXF
.

Oh, I of course forgot the change in your job file (by forcing another files extension ?) .
That's interesting- it looks an artifact from translating from the earlier version of Altium. The exporter had 'DWG' enabled, but also had an option for DXF. When I switched it to DXF and re-ran the exporter, it produces a (smaller) DXF file with the correct extension; switching it back to DWG produces a DWG 2013 file with a DWG extension. Setting it to DXF should solve the issue.
As a note, we inherited this output setting; it's also possible to disable the generator if the DXF isn't helpful.
