Redmine Bug #5031: Please switch to gr-funcubehttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/5031#change-222862021-06-17T09:23:28Zyarda

We are using the patch in Fedora downstream to support fcd/fcpp in gr-3.9.
Bug #5117 (New): Error building gr-osmosdr with libhackrfhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/51172021-04-15T07:56:34ZNicolasC

Hello,

I don't know if this is the best place to ask my questions but I haven't found any solution to my problem so I'm trying here.
I'm trying to build gr-osmosdr with cmake using the following command (I'm working on a conda environnement) :

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$CONDA_PREFIX -DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=$CONDA_PREFIX -DLIBHACKRF_INCLUDE_DIRS=/usr/include ../

The cmake command seems to work fine as the terminal tells me that it found the library for hackfr :

-- Checking for module 'libhackrf'
-- No package 'libhackrf' found
-- Found LibHackRF: /lib64/libhackrf.so

The hackrf ils also in the enabled components after the cmake :

######################################################
-- # Gnuradio enabled components
-- ######################################################
-- * Python support
-- * IQ File Source & Sink
-- * RTLSDR TCP Client
-- * Ettus USRP Devices
-- * HackRF & rad1o Badge
-- * RFSPACE Receivers
-- * Red Pitaya SDR

However when I'm trying to use the "make" command I get the Following error :

In file included from /home/Nicolas/gr-osmosdr/lib/source_impl.cc:60:
/home/Nicolas/gr-osmosdr/lib/hackrf/hackrf_source_c.h:29:10: fatal error: libhackrf/hackrf.h: No such file or directory
29 | #include <libhackrf/hackrf.h>
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
compilation terminated.

I already specified the -DLIBHACKRF_INCLUDE_DIRS and I don't really know what I could do to solve my problem. If someone has any idea on how I could do that I'm a taker.

Thanks and have a good day :)
Feature #5047 (New): Inconsistencies between SDR's in bias-tee parameterhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/50472021-02-24T20:41:23Zmalte

Hey, I noticed that the bias-tee parameter is handled differently in different boards. Is there a specific reason for this or could it be harmonized? (w/ backwards compatibility of course)

bladerf 2.0 micro uses biastee=[1/rx/on]
https://github.com/osmocom/gr-osmosdr/blob/bd668e97b632e68a131df738cc5aee49fc9df3e4/lib/bladerf/bladerf_source_c.cc#L556

hackRF and others bias=1
https://github.com/osmocom/gr-osmosdr/blob/a100eb024c0210b95e4738b6efd836d48225bd03/lib/hackrf/hackrf_source_c.cc#L112

Just a suggestion to prevent confusion and facilitate documentation (for external projects).

Best regards!
Bug #5031: Please switch to gr-funcubehttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/5031#change-213982021-02-23T19:49:03Zyarda

It seems patch exists (I haven't tested it yet):
https://github.com/dl1ksv/gr-osmosdr/commit/7d450ca7f20bcbf018a90662febcd9c5618372c2
Bug #5031 (New): Please switch to gr-funcubehttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/50312021-02-17T17:04:23Zyarda

It seems gr-fcd was dropped from the gnuradio upstream and gr-fcdproplus is no more supported. Both were replaced by gr-funcube [1], for details see e.g [2].

*Hi!

I would like the opinion of colleagues about this Osmocom-Analog Cell Base Station Project. Is it feasible to do this project today?
Could someone indicate other similar projects on cell phone?*
Feature #4937 (Rejected): Beginnerhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/49372021-01-08T15:20:30Zadilsonmatos

Hi!

I got here when researching SDR. I am a student of Electrical Engineering with telecommunications skills. I am passionate about radio frequency. I will ask a lot, however, I want to contribute in some way to other colleagues.
Feature #1473 (Rejected): verify if 80Mhz rate between ADC and FPGA workshttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1473#change-9652016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1472 (Rejected): connect ADSCK to a DQS capable FPGA pinhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1472#change-9642016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1471 (Rejected): implement and test FPGA flashing via sam3uhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1471#change-9632016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1470 (Rejected): implement DFU bootloader in first 16k of flashhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1470#change-9622016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1469 (Rejected): make sure sam3u chip id is present in Usb Serial Numberhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1469#change-9612016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1468 (Rejected): try to fit 2.5mm audio jack footprint (UART) on back sidehttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1468#change-9602016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1467 (Rejected): place "sysmocom" name into copper layer (back side)https://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1467#change-9592016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1466 (Rejected): add footprint of 2x5pin 1.27mm pitch SWD connectorhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/1466#change-9582016-02-20T20:23:37ZlaforgeFeature #1473 (Rejected): verify if 80Mhz rate between ADC and FPGA workshttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/14732016-02-19T22:50:52Zlaforge

For WEEE reasons, if sysmocom sells the product, the brand name "sysmocom" has to be present on the device in a way that is difficult to remove. The copper layer might be best.
Feature #1466 (Rejected): add footprint of 2x5pin 1.27mm pitch SWD connectorhttps://projects.osmocom.org/issues/14662016-02-19T22:50:52Zlaforge

Cortex-M3 has this new SWD (single wire debug), which we should at least have on test pads. If there's space on the back, a 2x5ping 0.5mm pitch SMD connector (not populated) will do, too.

This one is cheaper:
http://infocenter.arm.com/help/topic/com.arm.doc.faqs/attached/13634/cortex_debug_connectors.pdf

The connector shall NOT be placed, it's just for developers who want to solder it to their board.
