Feature #3911
closedSupport PlutoSDR in OsmoTRX
0%
Description
It supports full-duplex and covers 325MHz to 3.8GHz. It can be programmed using the libiio library.
I have attempted to get it to work using SoapyUHD + SoapyPlutoSDR, but this configuration does not work.

i am not sure how much sense this would make:
the hardware is very nice, but the board does not have any clock which is 'good enough' for gsm nor an external clock input.
also it would require another device driver to be written for osmo-trx (using iio instead of uhd/lms/...)
as long as there is no 'clock modification' done i don't think this (adding iio to osmo-trx) is worth the effort

it is possible to attach an external clock if you open it

IIO has no timestamping support whatsoever.
So running on the pluto would need to add this to the whole IIO architecture and the pluto FPGA code, that's a massive amount of work.

- Status changed from New to Rejected
I'll reject this feature request then.
If somebody wants to redesign basically the entire logic (FPGA) and software of PlutoSDR, we of course are more than happy to receive related contributions.
